Environmental Manager (TÜV) - Module 2

"Environmental Managers (TÜV)" are the coordinators of activities for the continuous improvement of significant environmental aspects and the achievement of set environmental goals. In their role as a staff function, they optimise existing processes in environmental management, at the same time taking on a controlling and advisory function and developing practical improvement measures together with managers and employees. They create structures and processes for systematic environmental management in the company (e.g. responsibilities, legal register, environmental indicators, environmental programme). They are able to implement an environmental management system, operate it, check its effectiveness and evaluate it. They have the ability to identify weaknesses and point out potential for improvement and to improve environmental performance and minimise environmental risks with appropriate measures. Furthermore, they are able to establish links to other management systems (e.g. in the field of energy or occupational safety).
